Rosie Swale Pope is back on the road and has just successfully negotiated some of the most remote and stunning mountains in the Myvatn region of Iceland. She's recovered well after breaking several ribs in a fall last month. However, her progress has been somewhat short lived. The 61-year-old grandmother has been hit by a blizzard. "The heavy snow is crashing down and there's an easterly wind," she said in a message on her website - http://www.rosiearoundtheworld.co.uk">www.rosiearoundtheworld.co.uk. "The storm from the east is icy. It can't shift us, because Icebird is safely getting buried in the snow. So, I'm holed up in Icebird. I cannot move in this blizzard, but that's not all bad. The ribs are a little bit sore again, and can use the short rest." Rosie, who has nearly completed her run around the world, hopes to land by ferry at the top most part of Scotland on June 18 at a place called Scrabster.
