Tenby adventurer, Rosie Swale Pope, is continuing to make progress on her 20,000-mile round-the-world voyage on two feet. Still crossing Siberia, Rosie, who left her home on her 57th birthday in October 2003, is currently 250 km from her next destination Tynda. She spoke to her friend and local co-ordinator Ann Rowell earlier this week and sounded in good form. "She said the temperature was getting warmer - only minus 20 at night now," said Ann. "She has also met some workmen who are constructing a road and they have been looking after her, repaired her trolley and given her food," Ann continued. "Rosie has had one of her wisdom teeth taken out, and when she gets to Tynda, she will be returning to Chita, where new tyres for her trolley are waiting to be fitted." Rosie will then return to Tynda where she will continue her expedition.
