In the next couple of days, adventurer, Rosie Swale Pope will be stepping out on the next leg of her 20,000 mile round-the-world trip.
As reported in our last issue, the 57-year-old Tenby grandmother has been resting in Moscow and recharging her batteries, before she makes her way along the Trans-Siberian Railway.
But, she still found enough energy to take part in a fun run around the Russian capital with staff at the British Embassy on Tuesday, where a reception was also held on her arrival.
Said her friend and local co-ordinator, Ann Rowell: "Rosie has 'phoned; she is fine and is sorting herself out in Moscow before heading off into the Siberian wilderness.
"She had a great reception in Moscow, and after BBC News 24 gave her coverage, there were so many hits on her website that it crashed."
International courier company, DHL, have kindly agreed that her family and friends can send parcels to her free of charge.
"That is great news and we have just sent her a parcel with essential items and clothes, plus a watch donated by Rembrandts, and a bag of dog food, which Rosie wants to give the dog, owned by the lady who she is currently staying with," continued Ann.
One of the toughest challenges for Rosie, though, has been carrying the 20 kilogrammes of kit with her.
But, she is hoping to find a solution for next winter.
"Rosie is in need of a type of buggy which can be adapted for wheels or skis," Ann explained. "We hope that the more people that hear about what she is looking for, we may come up with an idea."
