A man was injured at the weekend after two rogue waves struck a local vessel. At approximately 2.55 pm on Sunday, a call was received at Milford Haven coastguard station stating that an injured man was being brought into Tenby Harbour on the Seal Safari, after the vessel had been hit by two rogue waves off the resort. The man, from Cardiff, was lifted from his seat and crashed back down onto his back. As a result of the incident, the vessel immediately made its way back into harbour after requesting ambulance and coastguard attendance. Members of Tenby coastguard team boarded the boat on its arrival at the harbour and assessed the condition of the injured man. It was then decided, because of the his injuries, to transport him as little as possible by land. Therefore, the air ambulance was called, which landed at Tenby rugby ground, where the casualty, following a short trip by land ambulance, was taken aboard and flown to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest.
