That’ll Be The Day is the nation’s favourite rock ‘n’ roll variety spectacular, and its 30th anniversary show visits The Torch Theatre on Friday and Saturday, July 22 and 23.
That’ll Be The Day is all about recreating nostalgia with live entertainment, reflecting the music and tone of an era that changed the course of music history and youth culture forever.
Having delighted audiences throughout the UK for over three decades, That’ll Be The Day is back on the road entertaining audiences with classic gold hits and comedy from the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s. The show features the songs of Cliff Richard, Status Quo, The Rolling Stones, Elvis and Petula Clark, to name but a few.
Originally established on the cabaret circuit in the late 1980s, the show began playing regional theatres in the early 1990s. Now it performs over 200 shows a year to capacity audiences across the UK.
Trevor Payne (who first created the show) still directs, produces and stars in the production today. Trevor rewrites all the material for the show for each year, and over six months is taken in planning and preparation.
Tickets for next weekend’s shows can be booked on The Torch website www.torchtheatre.co.uk or from the Box Office on 01646 695267.
