Kenney Jones, the legendary multi-millionaire rock drummer from The Small Faces, Rod Stewart and The Faces and The Who, and now the leader of the American chart topping 'Jones Gang,' who will headline the nine-hour Carew Rock charity concert at Carew Airfield, on Saturday, August 5, has fallen in love with the Tenby area, and intends to look at properties when he returns to Pembrokeshire during the concert week. Kenney, who was born in London to Welsh parents, lives in a £5 million house on a 250-acre estate in Surrey (which includes his own polo club), and had never been to the Tenby area before he came for the official launch of the concert a few weeks ago. He immediately fell in love with the stunning natural beauty of the coastline, the countryside, and he thinks Tenby is absolutely delightful. Since he returned to his home in Surrey, he has been telling many of his rock star friends (including his former band mate and close friend Rod Stewart), that they should all come and look at this fantastic Welsh coastal area and the beautiful town of Tenby. Kenney is now planning to bring his family with him over the concert weekend, and they intend to take time off, and look at the area in more detail, and look at the properties available around Tenby that would be suitable for a get away home for himself and his family. Kenney said: "When you talk to people in London, especially about Tenby, almost nobody has ever heard of it, and I am now becoming a voluntary PR man for Tenby, telling people they should get down there and take a good look; they won't be disappointed!" Kenney also says that in his career he has been all over the world many times, but Pembrokeshire is one of the most beautiful places he has ever seen!
