Taking time off from her Friday Fun page to walk Dandy along Penally beach, Barbara Stredder spotted what looked like the skull of a small prehistoric creature.

On closer inspection it turned out to be the most intriguing 'babaloobie'. The action of the waves over maybe thousands of years has produced this amazing piece of sculpture with eye sockets one can see right through and clear markings of nostrils and mouth.

Or could it, indeed, be some link with the past that the tide has brought in for the season of Halloween!
