Heatherton is home to an exclusive Robo Wars arena. Robotics is an exciting and exhilarating sport for those participating. Roboteering requires little energy; robots are easy to control and it is a sport appealing to people of all ages and walks of life. This activity has proven very popular at Heatherton since opening in 2005.

Robot Wars at Heatherton allows up to four players to defend their corner of the arena whilst attempting to flip over other robots in the game. The winner of each game is determined by bumper goals scored and who scores first. Each robot weighs 70kg and is able to attack other robots and self right itself!

The robots are designed and built by the RobotsRus/Robogeddon team. Within this team, several members belong to team Razer who were featured on the TV show Robot Wars.

Friday, June 2, is your chance to meet members of the team and their amazing robots. James Cooper will be bringing Razer and Terrahertz and John Reed will be bringing a smaller version of Razer, a robot called Venom. These robots will be on display for everyone to see and even control.

The members of team Razer, twice world robot champion, will tell you all the secrets behind Razer's success, explaining reasons for his design and what special qualities help make him such a star in the robotic world.

So, on Friday, June 2, go to Heatherton and meet three fantastic robots and take the opportunity to control these robots, destroying obstacles in your path.

Entrance to Heatherton and to watch the Robot show is completely free - so what are you waiting for, join in the craze and become a roboteer at Heatherton.

If you miss this robot show, two other shows are taking place on Friday, August 4, and Friday, August 18.

Open every day from 10 am, Heatherton offers activities and sports for everyone, including archery, bumper boats, karting, paintball and horse riding. The robo wars arena can also be hired out for private functions.
