The Bro Beca Project is pleased to announce that the second 'Roads, Riots and Rebecca' heritage meetings will be held in the next couple of weeks to continue discussing the history of the Rebecca Riots in Pembrokeshire. They will be taking place on the following dates: Wednesday, April 27, at the Museum Bookshop, Narberth, at 7.30 pm, Wednesday, May 4, at Pentowr Chapel Vestry Fishguard, at 7.30 pm; Thursday, May 12, at Bethel Chapel Vestry Mynachlogddu, at 8 pm. Members of the community who attended the first meetings agreed to research in more depth the local history of their area specifically connected with the riots, for inclusion in a Pembrokeshire wide leaflet on the Rebecca Riots in the county. If you have any information that you would like to share with the group, please take it along to the meeting being held in your area. For example, any maps, pictures, old photographs of the area, stories about local characters who may have been involved with the riots, details of what the area was like at the time of the riots, what trade, industry and other forms of employment existed at the time and any examples of what life what like at for the inhabitants of the area. This meeting will look at the information gathered and decide what is most appropriate to include in the leaflet about your community.
