Following repair work carried out by Pembrokeshire County Council, Amroth's seafront road which was damaged in the recent storms, was due to reopen yesterday (Thursday) to one-way traffic.

With the sea wall extensively damaged, a trench has been dug by contractors and filled with over 100 one-ton bags of gravel to act as a temporary sea defence, while permanent repair work is carried out.
"We were unable to reopen the seafront road at Amroth on Wednesday as expected, but we are aiming to reopen it by the end of today," said a spokesperson for the county council yesterday.
