Headteacher Mrs. Margery Brown accompanied Elizabeth Longster and David Colquhoun to the Dyfed Powys Police Headquarters in Carmarthen last week to receive prizes they had won in the 2003 annual drink-driving slogan and poster competition.
Elizabeth Longster composed the competition slogan; she also came third for the overall poster out of all the schools in Dyfed Powys who had entered the competition.
David received the individual third prize in the Pembrokeshire poster section.
All competitors enjoyed the opportunity to take part in a well organised tour of the police headquarters, which included seeing the highly trained police dogs in action, visiting the helicopter support unit and viewing the highly technical operations control room in action.
Everyone agreed that it was a highly memorable day.
