All road re-surfacing works undertaken in Narberth so far have been welcomed by the community, it was claimed this week. Pembrokeshire County Council's director of transport and the environment, Mr. Ian Westley, visited the town last week at the invitation of County Councillor Wynne Evans. Both visited many shops in the town to gauge reaction to the works, which have centred around the one-way system, as well as Moorfield Road, Coxhill and Bridge Hill, and they received very positive comments. Said Clr. Evans afterwards: "I would like to thank all residents and local business people for their patience while the works have been taking place, but in particular, I would like to thank Mr. Neil Wall, operations manager, and his team for their outstanding work in all weathers and for being so flexible in many situations throughout that period."
