Re-surfacing work on the three main roads which form the one-way system in Narberth will commence on Monday, February 12, subject to the company which has been awarded the contract not having unforeseen delays on current works. In addition to the work at High Street, St. James Street and Spring Gardens, Moorfield Road to Coxhill entrance will now also be included in these works which again are long overdue. Said County Clr. Wynne Evans: "Because of concerns with public service and emergency vehicles, the work will be done in phases, over some weeks, therefore only one road at a time will be affected, rather than major essential roads all under traffic control at one time. "This, I'm happy, to say will cause minimal disruption to traders and to householders in those streets. Everyone affected will be sent letters nearer the time to confirm all arrangements. I will be on hand at all times to assist any residents with concerns."
