Pembroke Ladies Lifeboat Guild's annual fun run/ walk takes place this Sunday. Organised in conjunction with Col. Rogers and the British Army at Castlemartin, the 17th annual event will take place at Newton Tower, St. Govans. It will comprise a four-mile or eight-mile run or walk - you decide - with registration for walkers or runners at 10.30 am ready for a 12 noon start. A barbecue will be available from 11 am, with refreshments and attractions also provided for the children. There will also be a well-stocked souvenir stall with RNLI merchandise. Indeed, it's a real family day out, and why not bring your dog along on a lead, as he too can be sponsored to walk! Guest of honour this year will be Pembrokeshire racehorse McKelvey, who finished second in the Grand National at Aintree, while a superb new attraction this year will be the guided tractor and trailer rides, one at 12.30 and one at 2 pm, so the breathtaking scenery can then be enjoyed by you all.
