As part of Multi Myeloma Awareness Week, from June 21 to 28 - a charity event has been organised by a local family to raise funds for the Chemotherapy Day Unit at Withybush Hospital. Colin, Clare, Gemma and Tiffany Clewer have organised The Ridgeway Challenge for Hope - a charity walk/run which will be held on Saturday, June 21, beginning at Lamphey Village Hall at 1 pm and finishing at The Paddock, Penally. The route is just over 10k and participants are welcome to walk or run, depending on how energetic they are feeling! There are no prizes for winning. However, prizes will be given for the three people who raise the most money for the event - all sponsorship needs to be handed in on the day. Prizes are: two nights accommodation for two people in Stoneybridge B&B and a treament in their spa at Moreton, donated by Alison and John; LG Mobile phone, donated by Sarah Edge from Orange; and a meal for two, donated by Debbie and Mel at the Blueball Restaurant in Tenby. Also, Princes Gate have kindly donated water for the event.
