Coastguards from Manorbier and Tenby assisted a woman who fell from her horse while riding in the shallows on Manorbier beach last Sunday. The rider became unseated as something appeared to 'spook' the horse, causing the woman to fall off underneath, with the horse accidentally treading on her chest. After the fall, two surfers from Coventry, who were on the beach at the time, helped the woman to her feet and she was then taken by ambulance to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest, for precautionary x-rays.
