A £100 reward has been offered by the Saundersfoot Festivities committee for information leading to the return of a banner advertising their forthcoming New Year's Day charity swim.
Committee members were angered on Sunday morning to discover that the 20-foot long, two-foot high banner had been stolen from St. Bride's Hill sometime overnight on Saturday.
What has made the committee even more angry is the fact that the banner, erected just one week ago, was a replacement for a similar one stolen on the day of the swim last year.
"These banners are not cheap," said a committee spokesman. "We can't believe that someone could be mindless and petty.
"As a result, we've decided to put up a reward of £100 for to information leading to the identity of those who have taken the banner and its return."
