The boats may be back in Tenby’s waters, but trips to the re-opening Caldey Island have been delayed.

Trips to the monastic island, situated just off the coast of Tenby, were due to begin again today (April 8) over Easter for the start of the holiday season, but have been delayed by the rough seas.

To reach the island small boats ferry visitors back and forth between the main land during the holiday season, leaving from Castle Beach.

“No boats today. Sorry folks! Safety is always our priority,” stated Caldey Island on Facebook.
