OPENING at the National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth tomorrow (Saturday) is the much-awaited retrospective exhibition of Gwilym Pritchard's work.

Covering 40 years of painting, many of them in Britanny, the exhibition will bring together work from the library's own collection as well as paintings from all over Wales and beyond.

After many years of living in Britanny, Gwilym and his wife Claudia Williams have returned to Wales and now live in Tenby. Gwilym was raised in Llanystumdwy, near Cricieth, and his paintings are of his native Wales, Ireland and France.

The exhibition runs until December 29.
