Sir, I was interested to read in lack week's Tenby Observer about the lack of support for Tenby and Pembrokeshire's tourism industry. Around 10 years ago, I recognised the total lack of any comprehensive information online for people visiting Tenby and hence set-up the Tenbyvisitorguide.co.uk website which is full of useful information, updated weekly with any significant events, as well as containing a comprehensive guide to all Tenby hotels, guest houses, campsites, shops, eateries, attractions and places to visit, as well as a list of local businesses. I work with local people to keep this website completely up-to-date, including groups such as The Rotary Club in Tenby to publicise big events such as the Summer Spectaculars which create a huge number of online searches. Although it would be nice to have a 'Visit Pembrokeshire' brochure for everyone, it needs to be recognised that the normal route for information these days is online. In one day alone (Sunday, July 27), I had 2,500 people find my website by googling 'Tenby' and hence finding useful information to help plan their holidays. A total of 15,000 people a week are looking for information! Listing is free of charge and I would encourage any business not currently listed, to contact me ([email protected]">[email protected]) as many already have. This will then provide a truly comprehensive guide to Tenby and all it has to offer the thousands of tourists visiting every year.

PS. Please note I am not affiliated with any of the tourist associations and receive no income from them. I do this around a proper job!
