Dyfed-Powys Police are appealing for information following an incident on Monday night, which resulted in a land, air and sea search.

Officers are making inquiries after a male person was seen shortly after 11 pm near the public telephone kiosk and post box, located in the public car park at Freshwater East.

"The report received is that the unknown male person was accompanied by a young child who was in a pushchair near the telephone kiosk," said Chief Inspector Roger Hughes.

"It is reported that the man and child were last seen making their way towards the coast," he continued.

Near the kiosk, the police recovered a child's pushchair.

With the assistance of HM Coastguard teams from St. Govan's, Tenby and Manorbier, Tenby's all-weather lifeboat, the RFA Sir Galahad, the town's inshore lifeboat and a helicopter from RAF Chivenor, together with other agencies, a full search was conducted, with negative results.

"The police would wish to speak to anyone who was in the area at the material time or who has seen a pushchair near the telephone kiosk in Freshwater East," added the officer.
