Sir,

When will politicians own up to their failures? Pembrokeshire has massive social problems with the numbers of people brought in for the benefit of large scale construction, who are now isolated jobless with little chance of work.

We are about to repeat the mistakes of the past by setting up an Enterprise Zone; short term jobs which will move elsewhere when the public funding subsidies run out leaving even more people on the dole, and long term jobless.

Can PCC tell us how many of the make work premises set up by previous schemes are now empty.

Pembrokeshire depends on its natural resources and its attraction as a hoilday destination.

It is by the sea, so why are PCC and PCNP developing more and more seaside with private development which denies access to the water and allows more and more visualy intrusive low quality design housing in clearings in precious pedunculate oak and ash woods.

Ian Campbell Rutger,

The Green,

Pembroke.
