It may not have felt like late spring or early summer just lately, but Renaissance plan to change all of that on Saturday, May 26, when Pembrokeshire's premier venue, the De Valence Pavilion, Tenby, opens its doors between 8 pm and 2 am for Renaissance3, 'Here comes the Summer'.
After two previous sell-out events in November 2011 and February 2012, the Renaissance team are gearing up for what will be the best yet!
Events designer Cath Graham has exciting plans to decorate the hall in a 'Club Tropicana' style, website designer Darren Coates has been working on the visuals for the night and the amazing play list of sure fire '70s and '80s floor filler tunes, chosen by those present at Renaissance1 and Renaissance2, will guarantee everyone who plans to be at Renaissance3 the 'hottest' night out around.
With a live band, live DJ sets from our own Renaissance DJ and, in a real coup for Renaissance, former professional radio DJ Adrian Andrew, this will be the party that finally brings the summer to Tenby.
Local charities will benefit from the profit made by the hard-working Tenby Ladies Circle, who will be selling food on the night, and the affiliated Renaissance charity, Cancer Research UK, will be have representatives present to receive a cheque from the proceeds of the event.
Renaissance organiser Nicky Lloyd has a vision of seeing Tenby firmly established as the Music Capital of West Wales and the De Valence Pavilion as the premier venue for top acts and top nights out.
There are so many committed music enthusiasts already such as Chris Osborne and the committee behind the Tenby Blues Festival, Yanni at Caffe Vista, the landlords who regularly put on live music, the hard-working Town Council/De Valence Crew, in particular Christine Brown and Andrew Davies, the numerous hard-working musicians, BB Skone, who so actively and enthusiastically promotes music in Pembrokeshire, and many, many more.
So support your wonderful local hall, support your local and national charities, support live music and support Tenby and Pembrokeshire.
Tickets are only £7.50 each and are available at Tenby Newsagents, opposite the Five Arches, or at http://www.renaissancetenby.com">www.renaissancetenby.com
