Milford Haven Neighbourhood Police Team recently joined forces with the Torch Theatre to help promote National Autism Awareness Week in their local community.
The Torch Theatre has introduced special relaxed film screenings to upcoming family films during the Easter holidays.
Marketing manager, Karen Lewis, commented: “Our new relaxed film screenings are aimed at everyone, but have been designed with the needs of people with an autistic spectrum condition, sensory and communication disorders, a learning disability or for anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment.”
She added: “Performances are adapted with a more relaxed attitude to noise and movement in the auditorium and adapted light and sound in order to reduce anxiety and ensure a safe, enjoyable theatre visit.”
The Torch Theatre has even planned a special relaxed performance of its Christmas pantomime ‘Dick Whittington’ on Monday, December 18.
