HALLOWE'EN might be over, but ther's one place you can still see a pumpkin, not to mention a rat cage, mouse cage and a lizard and that is at the Regency Hall, Saundersfoot. They all figure in this year's Saundersfoot Footlights production of the pantomime Cinderella. Once again, the cast includes new as well as familiar faces and some who have been promoted from the chorus. Talking of the chorus, this consists of 28 children and eight adults, who are busy learning songs and dances as an assortment of characters. Much of the music has been specially written by Angie Oliver, the musical director for the pantomime. The costume ladies, under the direction of Carolyn Elms, are busy pinning, fitting, sewing and trimming. The set design team, led by Keith Williams, is sawing, nailing and painting. It is all under the able direction of Helen Wright. Teamwork is the key to the successful productions performed by Saundersfoot Footlights and this will be proven once again when Cinderella opens in December. Staged at the Regency Hall, there are evening performances from Monday, December 4 to Friday, December 8, at 7.30 pm, while there is a matinee on Saturday, December 9, at 2.30 pm.
