A total of 18 fire appliances were mobilised to a blaze at an oil refinery at Waterston, Milford Haven, on Friday evening.

Firefighters from Tenby and Narberth were among those tasked to the category two incident at Petroplus, which occurred shortly before 6 pm when a fire broke out in an 11,000 volt electrical transformer.

The power supply was isolated by refinery staff and the fire was extinguished by brigade personnel.
