The newly qualified whistlers are the largest number to pass the referees exam together following six weeks of instruction from Pedr McMullen.

Pembrokeshire are delighted to welcome the new bunch of officials, including five ladies and two pupils from Greenhill School.

Bobby Briers and Matthew Jones are both aged 15 and whilst still playing for Swansea City Acadamy and Tenby AFC, respectivel,y they are keen to take up the whistle in local games or school fixtures.

The next meeting of the Referees Society has been switched from its usual venue of Neyland Athletic Club to the Phoenix Bowl, Milford, on Saturday, April 17, where the Ten Pin Bowling challenge will be set. This gets under way at 7.15 pm and further details will be available from Jonathan Twigg, secretary.
