Members of Narberth Town Council are requesting a site meeting to discuss concerns about traffic at Redstone Crossroads.

For sometime now, councillors have been concerned about the road layout for traffic turning out of the B4313 Bethesda road onto the A40 and the speed of traffic using the main trunk road, and at their meeting on Tuesday night, Clr. Colin Williams pointed out there had been a "few near scrapes" over recent weeks.

Other members, including councillors Owain Martin, Dave Sturgess and Val Bradley, also expressed concern about the situation, and as a result it was agreed to write to the Welsh Assembly, who are the body responsible for that particular stretch of road, asking for a joint site meeting.

"We need to meet there with a deputation of people," stressed Clr. Martin.

"Somebody will be killed there very shortly if nothing is done," he added.

A copy of the letter is also to be sent to Assembly Member, Christine Gwyther.
