The British Red Cross, part of the world's largest humanitarian organisation, has launched a new flagship charity shop in Tenby town centre. The Red Cross opened its shop at 14 Upper Frog Street yesterday (Thursday).

Members of the public and customers can now support the Red Cross by visiting the store, becoming a volunteer and by donating items to the store.

Gareth Morgan, UK retail manager for the Red Cross, said: "We are very excited about the launch of this new shop. From the interest shown by passers-by during its fit-out, we are confident it will do very well.

"As this is a new shop, we would urge any previous or potential volunteers to pop in and talk to us about volunteering to help ensure the shop's success."

By supporting the new shop in Tenby, local residents will help support the vital humanitarian work of the Red Cross in the UK and overseas, such as caring for vulnerable people affected by disasters overseas or running first aid training and other essential services for people in crisis in the UK.
