Recycling facilities in Pembrokeshire are set to get bigger and better.
Pembrokeshire County Council is planning the refurbishment of recycling points throughout the county.
It's also introducing extra facilities at ten existing sites for the recycling of steel and aluminium tins and cans.
They'll be located at Broadmoor, Monkton, Jeffreyston, Cilgerran, Clarbeston Road, Crymych, Letterston, Llangwm, St. Dogmaels and St. Ishmaels from Monday.
The plans are part of the authority's waste strategy to develop and enhance recycling service provision.
"There are 69 recycling points throughout the county - one of the largest number in Wales," said Clr. Brian Hall, cabinet member for transportation and environment. "It is important these sites are maintained and enhanced to encourage people to recycle."
He said the authority is also aiming to extend its kerbside recycling scheme.
"Naturally we want to make recycling easier, and so introducing kerbside collections for residents is a key priority," he said.
"However, research has also shown that individuals make full use of the recycling points at supermarkets and within their community, and so it is vital that we make recycling a pleasurable and easy experience."
The council has already met the Welsh Assembly government target for recycling and composting 15 per cent of waste.
"This is a reflection on how Pembrokeshire residents respect their environment and are willing to make recycling a way of life," said Clr. Hall.
