The Tenby and District Bridge Club joined the rest of Great Britain's bridge players in the Winter Simultaneous Pairs on Wednesday, January 11, and it turned out to be quite an exciting tournament, with a record 42 players participating.  Director, Kevin Thomas, had do a rapid scan of the movements book for an 11-table movement, a first for the club.  When the dust settled at the end of the evening, most of the class players did well in the North/ South pairings, but the East/West results were a different kettle of fish. Top of East/West were the up-and-coming stars of the future, Sue Enfield and Judy Lewis (pictured right), who recently cracked the 60 per cent barrier, and came a stunning top with nearly 60 per cent.  Not far behind in fourth place were newcomers Margaret and Richard Caley, who are determined to rise to the top in the near future. Members now wait to see how they fared against all of the other UK players, via the internet link. Results, North/South: 1. Lee Collier and Peter Milewski 65.97; 2. Jill and John O'Sullivan 65.73; 3. Aileen and Martin Neilan 59.11; 4. Liz Crockford and Kevin Thomas 57.29.    East/West: 1. Sue Enfield and Judy Lewis 59.72; 2. Ray Bowen and Doug Silcox 58.56; 3. Carmel Wiseman and Brenda Harris 58.10; 4. Margaret and Richard Caley 52.08. Friday, January 13: 1. Sheridan Bradley and Irene Delahunty 67.78; 2. Liz. Crockford and Mairi Rees 55.56; 3.
