Anyone familiar with local Portuguese waiter Claudio, will probably be aware of his unique skills and control with a golf club and ball, which has to be seen to be believed in the form of his one man show.
On Monday, at Tenby's Giltar Hotel, where he works, Claudio attempted to break the record for bouncing one golf ball between two clubs.
Claudio, who already appears in the Guinness Book of Records as the world record holder for bouncing a golf ball on a golf club for 1 hour and 19 minutes, rose to his latest challenge by smashing the previous record of 33 minutes held by an Australian, with a new time of 59 minutes and 58 seconds.
The former golf caddie for Christy O'Connor Snr. also recently raised funds for children's charities by completing the New York and London Marathons, while keeping a golf ball aloft on a club for the whole duration.
The talented performer spoke to the Observer straight after his latest record-breaking achievement.
"I am very happy with the result and was pretty confident that I had practised and prepared enough for the day," he said.
"The key to keeping a good rhythm with the golf ball and clubs is having the music playing, which helps me to maintain my concentration."
The attempt, which was timed and videoed for the Guinness Book of Records to officially acknowledge it, might take up to eight months to be recognised, as they receive hundreds of world record attempts every day.
Apart from continuing to perform his 'Master of the Golf Ball' show and work for charities, Claudio's dream is to one day challenge Seve Ballesteros and Tiger Woods, not to a match, but to see if both golfers can complete each move that he performs in controlling and balancing golf balls on clubs.
Claudio is seen above as former Tenby Golf Club captains Miguel Gonzalez and Pat Crockford officially time the world record attempt.
