A very big thank you to eight-year-old Blaise Edwards-tindale who decided to raise funds for Elly’s Ward 10 Flag Appeal by having a sponsored haircut.

Blaise, who is a Year 3 pupil at Pembroke Dock Community School, went along for his haircut on February 1 and lost his locks for a new sleek look!

“We think Blaise is very brave to lose all that hair in the middle of winter, but we very much appreciate his support,” said Elly’s dad Lyn Neville.

“Blaise is one year ahead of Elly who is in Year 2 and we didn’t realise they were in the same school until recently!”

Blaise’s mum Rachel said: “He really wanted to support Elly’s Flag. Blaise has always been the sort of little boy that will help if he can, I am a super proud mum!”

Blaise raised an amazing £105 and met up with Elly and her flag, and Mrs. Thomas (headteacher) for a photograph. Mrs. Thomas is very proud of the achievements of these two young fundraisers. We thank Mrs. Thomas and all at Pembroke Dock Community School for their continuing support of Elly’s fundraising. Elly’s Ward 10 Flag Appeal has now passed the £70,000 raised mark for cancer patients on Ward 10 at Withybush Hospital.
