Tenby Town Council have backed a request by a Tenby publican to reduce the hours of her public entertainment licence (PEL).

Susan Lesley Hawthorne, of The Normandie Inn, in Upper Frog Street, is applying to Pembrokeshire County Council's licensing committee to cut back her PEL on certain days of the week.

At present it operates from 11 am to 1 am throughout the week, but Mrs. Hawthorne now wants the hours of the PEL on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays to run from 7 pm to 11.30 pm.

Clr. Mrs. Kerri Durham felt that the council should offer no objections to the request.

"It's rare to see a request to reduce hours," she commented.
