An unusual date for a concert for Tenby Male Choir is tomorrow (Saturday), October 27. Famously, the choir sings usually only on Tuesdays or Thursday (sometimes both in the high season), but this is rather a special occasion, as they are doing a combined concert with Shrewsbury Male Voice Choir. The Shrewsbury choir has been trying to fix a date for a combined concert for some time, but Tenby choir's programme of concerts is very full and its always planned year or so in advance. However, this event, slotted in since the yearly concert programme for Tenby was initially made a year ago, is to take place at St. Mary's Church at 8 pm. It is Tenby's only public concert this month and one of the last public concerts on their schedule for 2007. Entrance is paid on the door, and as regular followers of events at St. Mary's know, choice of seating is on a first come first served basis. The Shrewsbury party, including guests and wives, is 80-plus strong and after the concert, there will be a buffet and 'after -glow' at the County Club for all choristers, wives and friends. Tenby Male Choir's last concert of the year will be on Saturday, November 17, which will be held at Folly Farm. This is on behalf of the Scout movement which, as many will know, is celebrating its centenary this year. It is hoped that many people, especially Scouts, Cubs, Guides etc will attend the performance.
