The hamlet of Llanmill has been bustling with activity over the last couple of days.

It all centres around Conservative parliamentary candidate Simon Hart.

But it's not a political scandal!

Mr. Hart spotted a pretty rare bird in his garden and his family have had twitchers from all over Wales in Llanmill as a result!

The bird is called a Purple Heron and the Harts believe it should be in southern Spain at this time of year.

Mr. Hart's wife Abi posted it on a rare bird alert website, thinking people may be interested as it was listed as rare in their bird book.

Pembsbird blogspot picked it up and within an hour, they had people with big lenses pointed at their house.

One of the twitchers told the Harts that his friend was leaving Cardiff at 4.30 am one morning to come and see it before work!
