A local Rainbows group is on the lookout for new leaders in order for the organisation to continue.

The 1st St. Issell's Rainbows are asking for volunteers, either individuals or a few friends together, to take on leadership duties with the group.

Current leader Karon Brace (aka Ruby) has been involved with the Rainbows for three-and-a-half years, but at the end of this term, she will be hanging up her Rainbow Guide leader hat due to family commitments.

"I took over as leader after the excellent duo of Kay Davies and Tara Rees who worked hard to build the unit up into the success it is now," said Karon.

The 1st St. Issell's Rainbows group is a full unit of 15 girls, with about 10 on the waiting list.

"The Rainbows is a fun, safe and sometimes crazy place to be. The girls who attend gain so much, making new friends from different schools, building their confidence, learning about themselves and the world around them, learning respect and trust, but most of all, enjoying the great laughs they have, usually at me!" continued Karon.

"The group is on the lookout for new leaders to continue its success, the more the merrier in fact, and take my word for it, you will have so much fun; it isn't only the girls that gain confidence and friends, you will too," she added.
