THE final act of a county-wide playwriting project comes to a close next month with the live performance of a series of radio plays.
The 13 ten-minute plays are the work of a group of budding writers who have been studying their craft since the spring.
Led by Pembrokeshire County Council arts officer Christine Willison, the playwriting project is a collaboration between the county council and the Torch Theatre.
The three stage project began with a series of writing workshops at Milford Haven library at which playwrights Hugh Costello and Dan Anthony shared their skills and gave the group practical tips and suggestions about writing plays for the radio.
Each participant then chose one 10-minute piece to take through to a second rehearsal phase.
The third act will be the recording of the 13 plays by the Torch Theatre recording studios with cd's available afterwards.
Finally, on Sunday, July 17, at 7.30 pm, members of the group will perform a rehearsed reading of their works at the Torch Theatre.
Tickets will be £3.50 and £2.50.
Please contact the Torch Theatre box office, 01646 694192, to book.
