A special presentation was held recently to mark the retirement of Mary Thomas, quizmaster for the past 11 years at the Wisemans Bridge Inn.

Mary is pictured third from the left, flanked by members of the ‘Hot Gossip” team, and ‘Spoofs,’ as both of these teams have never missed putting in a team, on the quiz nights, over the whole of the 11 years.

Thanks must go to Mary for all the hard work, that she has put in over the years; it was always a good humoured quiz and lots of fun, with a good selection of general knowledge questions.

Mary will be sorely missed by lots of local charities as she has raised £26,000 single handedly since it began in 2007.

Thanks must also go to all who supported over the years, and supplied raffle prizes etc.
