'Getting quizzical' on the night of February 27 at Cresselly Cricket Club, were the enthusiastic band of quiz devotees and others, who turned out in support of Cancer Research. The event was organised by the Carew and Cresswell Quay local committee for Cancer Research UK Cymru, and a finger buffet was included in the ticket price. With brains in gear, and pens at the ready, they were poised to answer the challenging questions from the quiz-master himself, Mr. Roland Edwards. It was great fun, especially when the teams announced their names - where do they get their ideas from?! Winners were: Melting Moments, the runners-up were Confused.Com and the booby prize went to (literally) Last But Not Least! All prize winners generously returned their prize money. The organisers were delighted at this and wish to thank them. A raffle was held with eight great prizes, all donated. The first prize, which was a meat token for Milton Farm Shop, was won by Sue Roberts. Other prizes included, wine plants and home-made preserves. The remaining prize winners were Robert Schopp, Marjory Davies, Aileen Saul, Trevor Humphries, Sue Brody, Gillian Davies and Janet Mathias. The total raised on the night was £259. Thank you once again to all you Cancer Research supporters for turning up trumps, and to all those who helped in anyway; also to Cresselly Cricket Club for allowing the event to take place.
