Following a preview at Milford Haven's Torch Theatre, the Queen's Hall, Narberth, will be screening the world premiere of Video Majic's production of Diawatha on Tuesday, August 30. The film, an adaptation of the original play by local author Keith Johnson, is the Pembrokeshire Western which had a cult following in the early 1990s. It was performed by the East End Flyover Company throughout the county on three separate occasions over the course of two years, culminating in a five- night sell-out run at the Torch Theatre in March 1993. East End Flyover Company spokesman Brian Rowe says that many members of the original cast are in the film, though not necessarily playing the same characters! He is confident of its success, as scores of fans have requested a re-run of the play described at the time as 'the funniest and most original work ever seen on stage'. John Rolls, of Video Majic, a keen follower of the production, has been delighted to be given the opportunity to bring it to the silver screen. DVDs will be for sale on the night. Doors open at 7 pm, with the film starting at 7.30 pm. Tickets, at £3 each, are available now from: Queen's Hall, Narberth (01834 861 212); Pembroke Bookshop; and Completely PC, St. Govan's Arcade, Pembroke Dock.
