This was a charity event, with proceeds going to the Welsh Guards charity.
A similar event of an abseil was also held at Pembroke Castle last August and a coffee morning at Pembroke Town Hall last December.
The total raised to date is £1,170.
The Corps of Drums, 1st Bn Welsh Guards, came to support Clr. Brinn and his team of abseilers. They marched through the Main Street of Pembroke into the castle, followed by children from the local schools.
The youngest person taking part was seven-year-old Mia Fry from Lamphey, with her mother also taking part, Dana Rixon.
Also taking part were two guardsmen from the regiment.
Clr. Brinn wishes to thank all sponsors who supported them on what was a memorable day. Thanks also to Mr. John Williams, Tenby Climbing Wall, the safety company for the event, and to Mr. Jon Williams, manager at Pembroke Castle, for his help and assistance and for allowing the facilities to be used for the abseil.
There are also other events being planned for the future for the Welsh Guards charity, including a parachute jump and climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania/Kenya.
