Last Tuesday night, the Quaynotes Mixed Choir gave a fund-raising concert at St. Johns Church, Tenby. The musical evening, which consisted of sacred music and songs from the shows, was well received by a very appreciative audience. Solo items were provided by choir members Margaret Richards and Elvina Griffiths, with an enchanting version of 'Any Dream Will Do', and   Bron Hicks, who sang the lovely Welsh tune 'Ffoslelen'. Giving wonderful support to the evening was local student Rebecca Hobbs, who entertained with four numbers on the violin. Rebecca, whose talent and lovely personality shone through for all to see, delighted audience and choristers alike with her performance and if time had allowed, everyone would have liked to have heard much more from this very talented youngster. After a rousing singing of the national anthem, all present ended a very satisfying evening with refreshments in the church vestry. In complete contrast, the choir are performing tonight (Friday) at the Giltar Hotel, Tenby. All are welcome.
