Last Saturday, The Quaynotes performed during the annual charity presentation evening at the ROAB Club, Kilgetty.

At the invitation of charity organiser, Don Lloyd, the choir were delighted to be asked to perform for such a worthy cause, as guests of The Royal Order.

Commencing the evening with 'Songs from the Shows', this was followed by a trilogy of Welsh pieces, 'Hob y dery dando' (solo Bron Hicks), 'Ar hyd y nos', and the rousing 'We'll keep a welcome', with Ray Hughes in full flow.

After the presentations, the choir returned with music by Verdi, Elton John and a grand finalé consisting of music from Lionel Bart's 'Oliver'.

Requested to sing an encore, the choir finished with an old favourite, 'Unchained Melody', before joining with everyone present to sing the national anthem.

Making his debut with the choir was baritone Nick Stubbs, a resident of Manorbier, who sang previously with Wern Fach singers of Brecon, and is a fine addition to the choir.
