Last Saturday, the Quaynotes Mixed Choir gave a concert at Carew Memorial Hall to raise funds for the new Chemotherapy Day Unit at Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest. The evening organised by Mrs. Marilyn Chandler was a great success, financialy and musically, with over £1,000 raised for the cause, and a grand evening enjoyed by all. Solo items were performed by Val Evans, Colin Clarke and Bonn Hicks, whose lovely singing of 'Cartref' brought a welcome touch of 'Welshness' to the night. Mr. Dave Holts's introductions were made with a brand of humour not heard since the days of Welsh Rairbit on steam radio. Accompanist Sharon Lusher added a final touch of class to an evening which will long be remembered in the village.
