Pupils at St. Florence School recently put their best feet forward when they took part in a sponsored run around the school grounds to raise money for START, the Srilankan Trust to Aid and Rebuild Tangalle. The magnificent sum of £1,421.51 was collected and presented to fund founders, Paul and Jane Cowper, during assembly on Friday. Members of the school council, who came up with the fund-raising idea, are seen here with Mr. and Mrs. Cowper, together with Mr. Keith Nixon, chairman of the school governors, Mrs. Val McLean, parent governor and teacher, Mrs. Kate Herdman, who also took part in the event.
