A very successful 'pudding evening' was held recently at the Town Hall in Pembroke to help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Relief.

Over 41 varieties of puddings and desserts were made by members and friends of the charity's Pembroke and District committee, and over 90 people enjoyed sampling these, together with a tantalising punch.

Entertainment was provided by young dancers from the Cleddau Celtic Dancers who gave a great display of Irish dancing, and after the puddings, everyone enjoyed the country and western singing of Isabelle Merriman.

Great humour was provided by Harcourt and Arnold, alias Dennis Reed and John Hancock. Finally, Sian Watkins, from Narberth, entertained with popular songs.

The evening was compered by the town crier, Rose, and £700 was raised. Thanks go to everyone who gave their services, and to all who supported the evening

The next events are the Christmas bazaar in the Town Hall, Pembroke, on Friday, December 7, and the annual Christmas concert, given by the Griffon Choir, at Monkton Priory, on Sunday, December 9. Please make a note of these.
