Saundersfoot’s information board needs addressing, to maximise it’s purpose, a village county councillor has stated.
Cllr Chris Williams said he had discussed the information board with Saundersfoot harbour staff, as in his opinion, it is hidden, by the small electricity substation.
“We all felt that this is in the wrong place and that it should be pointing out the information needed to have a safe visit to our harbour and beaches,” he said.
“The board should have an updated map of the beaches accessible to dogs and where it is safe to swim, especially as we have a busy harbour with boats constantly coming in and out.
“The board should also point out the safest place to paddleboard and kayak. This board can also provide information on what you’re likely to find on our beaches, along with where the nearest defibrillator can be found.
“We all felt that it should be visible as you’re entering the beach. I feel this is a positive step by the harbour to educate the positives and dangers,” added Cllr Williams.
