Joshua Procter has been awarded PRP Catering Student of the Year 2012/2013 which recognises the achievements and dedication shown by students of the PRP Training Catering Academy.
Joshua started at PRP Vocational Training when he was in Year 10 via the Engage Project. The Engage project allowed Joshua to follow his chosen career in catering which has helped him secure a job in Mulberry's Restaurant in Saundersfoot.
Joshua has excelled during his time at PRP Training where he achieved his City and Guilds level one in introduction to hospitality services, RSPH level two in food safety in catering and health and safety in the workplace level two. More recently, Joshua has completed his City and Guilds level two in food production and cooking.
Joshua secured placements at Seven Spice Indian Restaurant, Pembroke Dock, Blueberry's Restaurant and the Fourcroft Hotel in Tenby to support with his qualifications and experience.
To add to Joshua's achievements, he came second in the Future Chef 2013 Pembrokeshire Cook Off.
PRP catering academy tutor Jamie Bessant said: "Joshua has shown a lot of commitment for his age and if he maintained the attitude shown he could go a long way in the future.
"I would like to thank Cath Morgan from the Engage Project, Greenhill School, Seven Spice, Fourcroft Hotel and Blueberry's for their help in supporting Joshua through his time with them."
