The smell of freshly cooked bacon sandwiches and sight of delicious cakes proved too much to resist for customers at Pembroke Dock Market last Friday as the Priory Project opened its stall selling a range of tempting hot and cold snacks.
The Priory Project is really appreciative of the support of local people and are trying to support local businesses themselves by using local ingredients, including bacon from the resident butcher at the market.
While the preparation and cooking of food was left to the teachers, the students were all involved in the pricing, marketing and serving customers.
The project would like to extend thanks to Clr. Brian Hall, who has been instrumental in the establishment of the market stall, and continues to offer his support.
Bev Stephens, head of Traveller Education, said: "This has been a fantastic learning opportunity for the students and we hope that the success of the first week continues."
You can offer your support and come and enjoy a bite to eat by visiting the Pembroke Dock Market every Friday morning.
Some of the profits raised will be donated to The SMILES Foundation, a Christian charity bringing hope to vulnerable people in Romania.
